Disciples were out Discipled

The narrative of the Woman at the Well closes with these words:And many more believed because of His word. They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.” John 4:41-42Nowhere in the New Testament do we find such a city-wide revival as is mentioned here

Wedding at Cana

John concludes the narrative of the Wedding at Cana with an explanation for the event.  This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested His glory. And His disciples believed in Him. John 2:11Certainly, Jesus turning water into wine solved the temporary problem at the wedding, but John lets us know there was a greater purpose.

The Lone Man

The man was walking on ahead – leading the way.

He was a pilgrim and this journey had begun along the shores of the dead sea.  There at 1,300 feet below sea level He gazed up from the lowest point on the face of the earth to His destination the top of Mount Zion, the mountain of God.  It was an elevation approximately the same as from sea level to the top of Mount Mitchel in NC.

Slowly He began making His way uphill. It’s a dry and dusty land where few plants could survive the desert heat. Often the path is narrow as it winds its way through the rocks bleached white from the desert sun.

Important Announcement

It is with mixed emotions that I write to you.  For the past several months I have felt the Lord calling me to move into Local Church Ministry and I’m now convinced I need to pursue becoming ordained as a minister and follow where He leads me.  While I’m excited to undertake this new direction in ministry, I’m sadden that I will be resigning as Area Director of Man In The Mirror.
